Shepherds and Flocks
Flocks are where the action is at Faith! In 2015, Faith launched a shepherding initiative that is changing how we do ministry. Our flock system employs trained lay shepherds as growth mentors and ministry coaches. Everyone who identifies with the Faith family is assigned to a shepherd. Each shepherd has a flock of 6-13 members.
Shepherds consistently pray for the specific needs of each member of their flocks. They help flock members grow and equip them for fruitful service. Some flocks meet asSunday morning discussion groups. Some meet as small groups. Some shepherds have formed discipleship triads with two flock members who want to take their walk with Christ to the next level.
In a day when “social networking” seems to be isolating us more and more, the flocks of Faith are uniting us. Everyone has someone who is watching out for him, praying for him, and promoting his growth and fruitfulness. Imagine having a personal life-coach and that’s what life is like at Faith.
